Alan Stables started work in financial services straight from school when he joined the Halifax, it was a great learning process working with fantastic experienced colleagues and gaining a knowledge of all areas of financial services including mortgage advising. At the age of 23 Alan left to take up a role as branch manager of the Woolwich (which became Barclays) after setting up a successful team locally which topped the national standings he was promoted to various Area manager roles and when he left in 2010 he had reached the level of Area Performance Manager for Scotland and Northern Ireland.
Danestone Mortgage Financial Services was set up, named after the area in Aberdeen where Alan and his family live. The company was set up with a view to providing excellent service to customers of all backgrounds and ages with a view to building long term relationships and growing by customer recommendations. Things have moved on quickly and we now have a fantastic team of 8 and we’re always looking to grow further. Louise Teare began her financial career in 1986, starting as a cashier she worked her way up through the ranks. During her banking career she undertook various roles including: underwriter, branch manager, area manager and also head of the local mortgage processing department. Jeffrey Thompson began his career in financial services in 1990 as a call centre advisor for what was Girobank. He then worked through several roles and eventually left the bank and his role as a business call centre manager when the company was taken over by Abbey National. He then worked for Barclays in various roles from customer advisor, branch manager to premier relationship manager. It was in Jeff’s last role as premier manager that Jeff got his mortgage qualifications. Jeff loved helping clients to get on the property ladder, buy their dream home, but also to help clients protect themselves for life’s bumpy road. Sarah Forde started her career in financial Services when she joined the Woolwich in 1999. It was during this time that she met Alan and gained a good working relationship while being part of his team. Sarah then moved to The Royal Bank of Scotland and during her 15 years at RBS undertook various roles including: Customer Adviser, Personal Mortgage Adviser and Portfolio Team Leader. She took a short break from being a mortgage adviser to gain some line manager experience but always knew she would return to the job she loved doing. She receives great satisfaction in helping clients get on the property ladder and making sure they continue to get the best deal and service.

Nathan Lamb first joined the financial world with the Royal Bank of Scotland as a fresh faced 17 year old. Over the next 16 years he covered a variety of roles before taking up his role as a Financial Planner. In 2006 he left to join the Clydesdale Bank and spent the next 10 years in Private Banking.
Following a restructure in 2017 he took the opportunity to leave the Bank and broaden his experience by joining a local HR company as their Business Development Manager. After an enjoyable 12 months Nathan decided to return to his financial services roots with Danestone.

Nicola Tarbitt started her banking career in 1987 and worked her way through various roles within NatWest. In 2001 she left banking to raise her 2 children and since has been doing part time and volunteer work.
