Buildings & Contents

Buildings insurance protects your house the bricks and mortar against as fire, smoke, explosion, flood, earthquake etc. Additional benefits can include:

  • Home emergency cover: for call out charges, labour, parts and materials required for immediate repairs to the property, mains services and central heating if an emergency occurs.
  • Costs of alternative accommodation.
  • Accidental breakage of fixed glass and fixed sanitary ware.

Contents insurance protects your belongings and furniture against malicious acts, burglary or theft. Both policies can be extended to cover additional risks such as accidental damage, which would insure your carpet if someone spilt a drink over it by accident for example, or putting your foot through the ceiling whilst in the loft.

Please note that home insurance is designed to cover certain unforeseen events and doesn’t cover everything and there is normally a policy excess for each claim.  Please refer to terms and conditions of the provider for full details.
